The idea for LifeFile® arrived in the middle of the night. I was having trouble sleeping; because three weeks earlier my 69 year-old father had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. He lived alone on the family farm and had now moved in with my family and me during his treatment. I was extremely worried about him and how we could manage his care and business affairs. The farm was 90 miles away and it had been 20 years since I had been involved in its day-to-day operations. I suddenly needed information on everything from health insurance to the IRS. At times it was difficult for my father to communicate and that made locating important information a challenge. At that time, It would have been a tremendous time saver and stress reliever, if there had been a single resource that listed personal, family, financial or health information; where it might be located, or people who knew where that information could be obtained. I created LifeFile to be that resource. A new, updated and more comprehensive version 6 in PDF has greater security features and password protection if you wish. You can now complete, store and update your LifeFile on your computer, or print out a copy, complete and store it the old-fashioned way. LifeFile's mission continues to help families and individuals record everything from Social Security Numbers to health histories to bank locations even your funeral or memorial requests ... information thats very important in an emergency, business transaction, death, illness, or relocation. LifeFile is dedicated to my father. Please take the time to complete yours; then place it in a secure location as well as distributing the attached ID cards to family and friends to let them know where your LifeFile is stored. Its designed to fit into a filing cabinet, and with its pocket flap, you may store additional documents or photocopies. Every adult in your family should complete a LifeFile and the bonus will be your familys security. Jeff Camp, president
